John Robert Smith went to Moseley School of Art, a specialist arts grammar school, and on to the linked Bournville College of Art in Birmingham in the 1960s.
He has painted for many years while running media and creative businesses in London and was made an Honorary Fellow of the
Royal British Society of Sculptors for his work on behalf of sculpture.
He now lives and paints in his hilltop steading in beautiful Highland Perthshire.
This series of works has been inspired by the stunning and mysterious Glen Lyon.
