Mark Hall lives in Dorset and has been working as a professional artist since the early 90s after initially studying for a degree in architecture.
Mark's work is highly collectable and his 'Fruit' and 'Conker' series have been exhibited worldwide to great acclaim. In his own words: "I love sculpture. I love the way you can actually have a physical relationship with it, take pleasure in its tactility and share the journey of the sculptor. It's an art form that engages on so many levels – and often on levels that are difficult to explain. I like to play with it, have fun with it and try to bring to you impressions and thoughts that have marked my time here so far.”
The detail on each piece is quite exquisite and unique, Mark captures the shape and texture of the seed with careful precision while giving thought and attention to the beauty and design of each piece. Mark also evokes a sense of humour and wit by elevating these humble subjects, often associated with childhood memories, through the medium of bronze.
